March 12, 2026, Myakka City, Florida. Against a field of 27 competitive international riders, Jacqueline Ruyle (USA) and Cyramo Z captured victory in the $32,000 Key Performance Feeds 1.45m FEI Welcome Speed with a fast time of 60.34.
Throughout TerraNova’s Winter Series, Ruyle has been a consistent presence at the top of the leaderboard in feature classes, including second, third, and fourth-place results. Today, however, the pair finally stepped into the winner’s circle.
“It feels really great to finally win here at TerraNova,” Ruyle says. “It’s honestly a tough group of competitors that comes here, and it’s never easy to win because someone always shows up with a really fast horse and does a great job. I’ve been second, third, and fourth a few times, so it feels great to finally get the win today. Hopefully it happens again on Saturday in the $100,000 Magellan Jets 1.45m FEI Grand Prix.”
Ruyle credits much of her success during TerraNova’s Winter Series to her long-standing partnership with Cyramo Z.
“I’ve had Cyramo for almost eight years now,” Ruyle explains. “I got her when she was seven, and she’s fifteen now, so we’ve built a really long, strong partnership together.”

In speed classes, where efficiency and quick decision-making can determine the outcome, Ruyle says maintaining composure is a key part of her strategy.
“For me, it’s really important to stay calm, especially with this horse,” she says. “If you go too fast too early, the wheels can kind of come off at the end of the course. My approach is to stay cool and collected and set the right pace from the beginning.”
While the round ultimately came together smoothly, Ruyle admits there was one moment on the course when she briefly worried they might not keep all the rails up.
“There was one spot where she rubbed the rail pretty hard,” Ruyle recalls. “I remember thinking, ‘Please don’t fall down.’ But a couple of strides later, I didn’t hear the crowd react, so I figured it must have stayed up and just kept going. Overall, I thought it was a really nice course, and it rode beautifully.”
Ansgar Holtgers Jr. (USA) and Kennedy Z finished a close second with a fault-free round in 60.45 seconds, just 0.11 seconds off the winning time. Olympic champion Elizabeth (Beezie) Madden (USA) secured third place aboard Micky-Cara with another fault-free effort in 62.82 seconds.
