February 21, 2026, Myakka City, Florida. Samuel Parot’s (CHI) success during Week 1 of TerraNova’s Winter Series carried seamlessly into Week 2, as he captured not one, but two, feature victories today.

Parot claimed first place in the $65,000 Stephex USA FEI CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix against a competitive field of 25 international riders and followed it by claiming the $20,000 Blalock Walters 1.35m TerraNova Prix, aboard two different horses.

In the $65,000 Stephex USA FEI CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix, Parot and Chrystal Blue delivered a fault-free first round in 74.77 seconds before returning to set a blistering pace of 39.66 seconds in the jump-off. Once again jumping clear, the pair secured the victory by 1.81 seconds over the second-place finishers.

Amanda Derbyshire (GBR) and Cornwall BH, fresh off their win in yesterday’s $32,000 Everglades Equipment Group 1.45m FEI Welcome Speed, finished second in the Grand Prix with a first-round time of 74.92 seconds and a jump-off time of 41.47 seconds. She also rounded out the podium for third place aboard Conblue despite taking a more conservative track.

“Yesterday I didn’t go too fast in the Welcome Speed because I wanted to save him for today’s class, and he was fantastic today,” Parot says.

In the jump-off, Parot relied on a scope and efficient turns to secure the win.

“He’s special because he turns so well,” Parot explains. “This horse is fast, but he also has fantastic scope, I think that’s how we won. We were able to turn tight to the combination, then to the skinny, and then back to the oxer with another inside turn. He’s quick across the ground, but he’s careful and powerful at the same time.”

In the $20,000 Blalock Walters 1.35m TerraNova Prix, the class following the Grand Prix, Parot rode another mount, Gradje O, to victory with two-fault-free rounds and another impressively fast jump-off time of 36.881 seconds.

Now riding a two-week winning streak, Parot’s momentum began during Week 1 of the TerraNova Winter Series, when he and his mare Tiffany De Olid defied the odds by drawing first in the order of go in the $32,000 Howard Leasing 1.45m FEI Welcome Speed. Setting an early pace that the remaining 41 riders could not match, Parot claimed victory in that class as well.

For Parot, TerraNova has become more than just another stop on the circuit. After several seasons competing at the venue, and collecting multiple Grand Prix victories along the way, he continues to return for reasons that go beyond the results.

“The people are nice, the facility is fantastic, and I’ve been fortunate to win some Grand Prix classes here, which is always special,” Parot says. “All of the top riders come because everything is done so well. The horses love it here, and that makes a big difference.” Competition continues next week at the TerraNova Winter Series Week 3. With FEI competition on pause for one week, Week 3 features a unique line-up of national classes such as the $24,999 Welcome Prix on Thursday at 3:00 PM, the $10,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby on Friday at 3:30 PM plus a free Welcome Party dinner from 4 to 6 PM, and the $75,000 National Standard Grand Prix on Saturday at 11:00 AM with a Ringside Luncheon feature. The $20,000 1.35m TerraNova Prix will take place on Sunday with Family Breakfast hospitality.
