TerraNova Dressage II CDI3*/CDI-W Kicks off with FEI Inspection
October 19, 2023, Myakka City, Florida. Fourteen horses were presented for the jog at the TerraNova Dressage II CDI3*/CDI-W and all passed the judges’ inspection.
Back for his second year of showing at TerraNova, FEI competitor Ben Ebeling was thrilled to be back in Myakka City, Florida. “I love it,” he said. “It’s a great showground. The stables are amazing. The footing’s great. Nothing like it.”
Ebeling will be competing aboard Indeed, Vantage Equestrian Group II, LLC’s 2008 Danish Warmblood mare (Hofrat-Gorklintgards Indeera, De Niro 6), in the FEI World Cup Grand Prix on Friday. The pair achieved good results in Europe during the summer and at Dressage at Devon.
“I do really like being here,” he said, adding that it’s a super alternative to the other Florida dressage venues. “It’s much calmer.”

Fellow competitor Kevin Kohmann will also ride in the World Cup Grand Prix on Diamante Farms’ Düenensee, a 2009 Hanoverian gelding (Dancier-Doublette, Davignon I). The duo also enjoyed a good summer competing in Europe, and Kohmann was impressed with the facilities for his first time to show at TerraNova. “It’s amazing,” Kohmann said. “The footing is great. The ring that we’re showing in looks awesome, and I’m really excited to show there.”
He said the drive from Wellington took under three hours and featured some pretty rural scenery with some curves and turns. “It was an easy drive, actually.”
He was also impressed with the stabling. “The stalls are incredible; it’s like a very, very nice private barn.” Kohmann felt his horse settled well into the barn. “The horse is super calm here; he immediately felt like he was home.”

TerraNova Dressage II continues tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. with USEF National classes in the morning. Riders will head down centerline in the FEI CDI3* Grand Prix at 2:30 p.m. and in the FEI CDI-W Grand Prix at 4:20 p.m.
